Force Ambassador information day in Glasgow announced

The Police Dependants’ Trust has today announced an information day for prospective Force Ambassadors in Glasgow.

Launched as part of the Trust’s awareness campaign to support more serving and former personnel in need, the Trust aims to recruit 500 Force Ambassadors across the UK by 2020.

Volunteer manager Claire Craigie said, “For more than fifty years, the Police Dependants’ Trust has been helping serving and former colleagues who suffered harm as a result of their policing role, but we know that there are more who are suffering in silence and don’t know the Trust is there for them. The Force Ambassadors help to change that.”

Force Ambassadors are the vital link to promoting the different types of support that is free to access for all frontline personnel past and present who suffer harm as a result of their policing role, and the information days are designed to provide more detail. Following numerous requests, an information day has been arranged in Glasgow, and people interested in becoming an Ambassador are encouraged to register to attend.
