Supporting the service: new film highlights our work
We have launched a new film about our work which we hope will raise awareness of the varied support we can provide, and encourage officers and families to register with us.
The 3:20 film features Hazel Barker, whose husband Bill lost his life in the Cumbria floods in 2009, and Margaret Gardhouse, whose son Daniel Coffill needs round-the-clock care after suffering life-changing during an assault on duty.
It was screened for the first time at a reception at the Tower of London to mark our 50th anniversary. Guests included beneficiaries, politicians, police leaders, trustees, supporters and staff. It has now been posted to our YouTube channel and is being shared on social media.
