Supporting loved ones after a major incident
Supporting a loved one who has been involved can be challenging for families and friends
That’s why the Police Dependants’ Trust has today launched guidance aimed at the loved ones of police officers responding to a major incident
Written by neuropsychologist Dr. Jessica Miller, a specialist in police trauma and a research fellow at the Police Dependants’ Trust, it aims to help non-police members to better understand what they are going through, what to expect, and how to support them in processing what has happened.
The guidance, which can be found on our website at www.pdtrust.org/guidance, is available to anyone for free.
